AMXAA is a NEW aircraft mechanics association, created with admiration and respect for every aircraft mechanic who is now or has turned a wrench on an aircraft, used a meter, chased sparks and smoked parts, riveted sheet metal or beat it to fit and painted it to match...

Aircraft Mechanics have been forgotten for too long

From today forward, walk into work like you own the place. You aren't better than anyone else but YOU ARE AS IMPORTANT AS EVERY OTHER PERSON THERE. Your expertise and dedication is the cornerstone of why air travel is the safest form of transportation

The Aircraft Mechanics Association of America, AMXAA, was created to educate the public on the important role of aircraft mechanics, to unite aircraft mechanics in supporting each other, to offer education and recruitment opportunities and to advocate for aircraft mechanics in the industry.

AMXAA is a brand new association. While our goals will evolve over time, we have founded the association with these initial goals in mind:

  • We will educate the public, pilots and crew as to the importance of Aircraft Mechanics, increase morale within and gain respect for the profession

  • As our numbers grow, we will give a voice to Aircraft Mechanics in issues that matter both with government and private entities

  • Employer and FAA ambassador program – Making connections at the FAA and as many aircraft mechanic employers as possible so that as we gain numbers and momentum we could find ways to work with these places for our members

  • Annual awards, nominated by association members and recognized on the website and on social media

  • Emergency loan program - $500 - $1000 available for a one time loan for an emergency situation with flexible repayment terms based on the situation

  • Emergency roadside assistance network – List of all members who would assist in the case of a roadside emergency, ie pick up parts, hold the flashlight, provide transportation to a hotel, etc.

  • Outreach program in schools – Interested members will visit schools and explain their career, talk to kids who enjoy working with their hands, interested in aircraft, etc.

  • As we gain numbers, seek to purchase liability insurance as a group and offer discounts for GA members

  • Annual conference

  • Broadly speaking - A&P continuing education classes (includes workshops and classroom seminars over everything from regulations to logbook sign offs to aircraft records to dealing with bad customers).

  • IA prep courses and IA renewal courses focusing on the stuff that many training providers do not even address.

  • Social Events & camaraderie

  • Employment Finder

  • Parts & Supplies Locator (later on down the road)

  • Insurance Finder - to help those without auto, healthcare, or shop insurance for small establishments or discounts from insurance providers with association membership

  • General Aviation Consortium - members get discounts on services, parts, and supplies from corporate sponsors.
